EOB Retrieve Age Cut-Offs

For members of Anthem, CareFirst, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Kaiser, there are cut-off ages where a dependent's EOBs can no longer be retrieved from the parent account. When this happens, the dependent is required to have their own EOB Retrieve account. The specific requirements for each are as follows:

  • Anthem: Any dependents 18 and older need their own EOB Retrieve account.
  • CareFirst: Spouses needs their own EOB Retrieve account. Any dependents other than a spouse (e.g. children) do not need their own EOB Retrieve account as their EOBs are accessible through the parent account.
  • Blue Cross Blue Shield:Any dependents 13 and over need their own EOB Retrieve account.
  • Kaiser:The EOBs for any dependents over the age of 12 need to be obtained separately from the member's account. Once a child turns 12, their EOBs will no longer show under the member's KP.org sign-in. They can be obtained by contacting Kaiser Member Services at 800-464-4000. If documentation is requested by Nonstop to substantiate any payments to the Nonstop Visa card, the member will need to request these EOBs be sent to them from Kaiser, and then they will need to submit them to Nonstop manually. However, once the child turn 13, they are able to sign up for own KP.org member sign-in and will receive their EOBs on that site. At this point they can then sign up for an EOB Retrieve account so Nonstop can automatically substantiate any payments as needed.

If a member does not create a separate account for the above listed dependents, Nonstop will not be able to access their EOBs to substantiate payments made to the Nonstop Visa card. This means the member may receive a notification requesting documentation (e.g. EOB) to substantiate these payments and must submit the documentation manually.
